Mike Fink is a practicing graphic designer and has been the proprietor of @ilevel since 1995. His projects have included the design of brand identities, publications, posters, packaging, exhibitions and websites for a variety of clients in the music, arts and educational fields.
He received a BFA from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles and took a staff postion at Rod Dyer Inc immediately after graduation. Mike worked there for 2 years and then established his own studio x-height, and developed a close relationship with various music companies and art organizations in the Los Angeles area. During this time in L.A. he taught typography and design at his alma mater the Art Center and was a guest lecturer at California Institute of the Arts and University of California, Northridge.
His art direction and design for the magazine "Borderline" received numerous awards from the AIGA, Type Directors Club of New York and American Center of Design 100 show. Mike was the recipient of the highly prestigious James Beard Award for the design and graphics he produced for "The Double A" restaurant in Santa Fe, NM.
